Our continuous batch washers and automated overhead rail systems, along with meticulous ironing finishing systems and personal inspections, ensure thoroughly clean and sanitized fresh linens. And our professional dryers and ironing machines deliver the polished image our customers expect.
Personally Dedicated Route Managers
Most linen companies stop their services once the order is loaded. But at General Linen Service, we select and train professional Route Managers to personally manage and deliver your inventory. Your Route Manager will answer and respond to any questions, updates, changes, and options you may have.

At General Linen Service it is an essential part of our mission to impact the environment positively. We seek a change through energy conservation initiatives, waste reduction efforts, and a commitment to recycling. We gather the power of technology, our people, and our customers to better the environment.
To promote our Green Initiative, we have implemented a number of progressive corporate programs aimed at preserving and protecting our environment. Specifically, we have focused our efforts in:
Energy and Water
- Investing in state-of-the-art wash technology that re-uses water, reduces energy and chemical consumption as much as 50%.
- Employing heat exchangers to recapture and reuse waste water heat
- Utilizing high efficiency motors and /or inverter drives to reduce electrical consumption
- Recycling waste oil from our fleet of vehicles and reusing it for building heat
- Investing in a fleet of new trucks that deliver better fuel mileage and reduce emissions
- We are currently shifting over to a new high efficiency Lighting Program
- Utilize the latest routing software to reduce fuel consumption
Recycling
- Offering customers reusable products such as linen which replace or reduce the use of disposable paper items
- Recycling cardboard, hangers, and paper
- Paperless E-Billing
- Hand held computers on Routes
- Employee Recycling Program
Partnerships
- Voluntarily participating in a Laundry Environmental Stewardship Program in conjunction with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to further reduce pollutant discharges, cut water use, and lower energy consumption.
